Turkish Airlines Introduces New In-Flight Messaging Service

Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, announced its plans to introduce for the first time ever free messaging services which will be offered to its passengers on board flights. This service will guarantee an uninterrupted line of communication between the passengers and their friends and family even 30,000 feet up in the air.

Turkish Airlines will make this in-flight messaging service available for passengers on long-haul flights to destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

The introduction of the new service is no doubt a part of the airlines’ plans to improve the customer experience. In this regard, Bilal Ekşi, the CEO of Turkish Airlines, said this move is part of the airline’s commitment to enhancing its customer experience and providing more value to its passengers.

He further added, “At Turkish Airlines, we are always looking for ways to improve our customers’ experience when they fly with us. We understand that staying connected with friends and family is important, even when you are travelling, and that’s why we are delighted to be offering free messaging onboard our flights.”

The messaging service will allow passengers to communicate with others through popular messaging apps like WhatsApp, iMessage, and Facebook Messenger. Passengers will be able to access it via the airline’s Wi-Fi network on long-haul flights, Turkish Telecom, which ensures a seamless messaging experience with high-speed internet connectivity.

All passengers can access this service with their devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, regardless of the class of their travel. However, due to bandwidth limitations, voice or video calls will not be supported by the service.

Many passengers took this introduction to social media to welcome and express their gratitude and excitement due to this new service. While Some suggested that Turkish Airlines should offer free Wi-Fi on board to take it up a notch.
