Bali Airport Allowing Selected International Travellers
Ngurah Rai International Airport has made exceptions with travel restrictions for certain international visitors.
Stakeholder Relations Manager of Angkasa Pura, I Taufan Yudhistira said that Ngurah Rai International Airport has allowed international access for business, foreign training, or medical contributions in Bali.
“We are only allowing international entry for special circumstances,” Yudhistira stated during an interview on Wednesday, 2 December.
The government has some requirements for the visitors such as they need to complete proof of negative COVID-19 test, and comply to self-quarantine at their own expense if the PCR test conducted by Indonesian authorities results positive or there are symptoms found related to COVID.
The travel corridor is also open for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (KPP APEC) business trip cardholders and Traditional Border Pass Holders.
The airline that transports the passengers is required to provide a PCR test with negative results.
“We have deployed many officers to do a complete screening at the airport, and to ensure that everyone is following the prevention protocols by sanitizing, thermal scanning, physical distancing and document checking” Yudhistira concluded.
Since November 2020, Ngurah Rai International Airport has received a daily average of 129 domestic and international flights.
