Biman Bangladesh Airlines partners with SITA
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. has partnered with SITA to adopt a set of ultra-modern connectivity solutions to increase network speeds, optimize the airline’s operations, and reduce expansion costs.
SITA is a multinational information technology company that provides IT and telecommunication services to the air transport industry. SITA Connect Go is a new Secure SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) solution designed by the company in partnership with Versa Networks, the recognized secure access service edge (SASE) leader.
The solution in question offers a software-based solution that allows multiple airlines, ground handlers, and other tenants to digitally switch the pace of their operations. Secure access is provided to digital applications and infrastructure at airports and in the cloud, delivering more scalable and efficient performance.
The incorporation of the solution will improve the performance of the airline by giving the IT operations team a full view of their network and application performance. And it is managed completely through a centralized platform that simplifies the entire functionality of the network.
SITA Connect solutions will empower Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd. with up to 600% increased bandwidth, which can lead to them possessing unrivalled network speed, flexibility, and agility to connect quickly and securely to applications and systems within their offices.
This deal was made to commemorate the 50 years of partnership between SITA and the airline to future-proof its planned growth of operations. It also ensures that the airline can embrace a hybrid cloud environment in the future when needed.
