Queen's Guard Defended After Shouting at Tourist

A visitor who was screamed at by a Queen's guard for touching a horse's reins has sworn "never to return to London."

The video of the event has received over 200,000 views on TikTok, where it has gone viral. "Stand back from the Queen's lifeguard, don't touch the reins," the soldier can be heard yelling.

However, several have defended the Guard, with one stating: "Serves her right, you aren't allowed to touch the guard."

We Will Never Return to London After This Incident, was the caption on the video.

Birmingham Live reported that an Army spokeswoman has addressed the issue.

"We take all instances like this seriously, and we want to make sure that everyone who visits Horse Guards has a good time," they declared.

Tourists frequent this location in particular, and occasionally the soldiers on duty for the Guard must yell loudly to warn people away if they approach the horses too closely, as it did in this instance.

“We have signs placed alongside the horse boxes, stating that the horses bite and would always encourage the public not to get close to horses, as after all, they are animals and can be unpredictable.” Another TikTok user backed them, saying: "They really don’t care if you’re going back, I promise you."
