Heathrow-Seoul New Tickets Suspended for Summer

The current cap placed on the number of passengers to be served at Heathrow Airport led to the suspension of Heathrow to Seoul Flight ticket sales for the summer.

Because of a couple of technical reasons, a large portion of which was staff shortage, Heathrow Airport in London established a limit for the number of departing passengers from the airport, which was 100,000 passengers per day.

To keep true to this limit, The airport has stopped new ticket sales from Korean Air and Asiana. Asiana flight ticket sales are reportedly suspended until August 7 and Korean Air until September 11.

Since all new bookings for Heathrow to Seoul, South Korea flights have been suspended for the summer, the airport encourages customers to check with the airlines before arriving at the airport.

The changes made to the upcoming schedule of the Heathrow to Seoul flights have been updated on the website of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

The updates state: “Korean Air and Asiana run flights between London and Seoul, but at the request of Heathrow Airport, both airlines have announced temporary suspensions of ticket sales for flights departing from London in summer 2022.

“The Asiana suspension is until at least August 7 and the Korean Air suspension until September 11.

“These dates may change, and you should check with the airline before you book, and before you travel.”
