Eastern Airways Increases Key Domestic Route Capacity
Over the summer’s busy holiday schedule, UK’s regional airline Eastern Airways has decided to increase its capacity on the main route between London Gatwick and Cornwall Newquay Airport.
Based at Humberside Airport, Eastern Airways will be adding another rotation to their already existing twice-daily service on Monday, Thursday and Friday to meet the increased demand.
Almost 60% of passengers of Eastern Airways use the Cornwall Airport Newquay – London Gatwick route for different purposes, according to a recent study by Eastern Airways.
The additional domestic services can only give more options to passengers for travelling to Cornwall or the capital, especially since the cost of international trips keeps getting higher.
The General Manager of Eastern Airways, Roger Hage has commented “As we hit the peak summer school period, increasing connectivity for those using this already popular service is key for Eastern Airways. The introduction of the midday service now provides a greater range of options for individuals, couples and families that are relying on this time-efficient service.”
Additional travel options are now made available for travellers who use the service for a plethora of reasons ever since the midday flights were introduced.
The flights between London Gatwick and Cornwall Airport, Newquay are now being operated on a comfortable ATR72-600 aircraft for 75 minutes by Eastern Airways. The same journey could take up to 5 hours by car and 5 hours by rail. The costs including taxes, charges and baggage allowance can range up to £44.99 per person. Rather than wasting your time at the airport, It’s more time-efficient if the tourists can either use Eastern Airways’ online check-in service or select their preferred seats in advance.
A generous amount of baggage allowance including a minimum of 10 kg of cabin baggage and 15 kg of hold baggage is considered a standard. There are plenty of options for extra weight available to book before travelling, along with the other summer essentials.
Other important domestic routes operated by Eastern Airways, are underway this summer, like, Belfast, Southampton – Dublin, Manchester – Southampton, Humberside – Aberdeen, Aberdeen – Wick John O’Groats, Humberside – Cornwall Airport Newquay and Jersey direct from both Humberside and Teesside.
